Meet Allison
Allison Turcio, Ed.D., is an enrollment and marketing strategist, speaker, educator, and thought leader focused on the future of higher education enrollment and marketing. Her work explores how institutions can build smarter, more strategic, and more human approaches to student engagement, communication, brand, and enrollment strategy.
Drawing from experience spanning enrollment leadership, higher education marketing, teaching, speaking, and research, Allison brings both a practitioner’s perspective and a broader industry lens to conversations about student-centered enrollment, AI and personalization, brand strategy, and institutional change. She currently serves as Dean of Enrollment and Marketing at Siena University where she leads strategy across enrollment and marketing while helping shape how the institution approaches student engagement, communications, and brand.
Allison is also the host of The Application Podcast and publisher of The Higher Ed Marketer’s Digest, where she regularly explores ideas related to enrollment strategy, marketing, leadership, AI, personalization, and the evolving expectations of today’s students.
A frequent speaker at national conferences including the American Marketing Association’s Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education and eduWeb Summit, Allison is known for blending strategic insight with practical application and a deeply student-centered perspective.
Her work and leadership have been recognized through numerous industry honors, including AMA’s inaugural Emerging Marketer in Higher Education Award, an Educational Advertising Award Best in Show distinction, Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40, Siena University’s Excellence in Administration Award and City & State’s Trailblazers in Higher Education.
At the center of her work is a belief that enrollment and marketing are ultimately about people — understanding students, building trust, and designing experiences that feel meaningful, relevant, and human.
